Dr. Robert J. Skoretz

Doctor of Dental Medicine, Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology

"I have been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry in southern West Virginia since 1996, and I take great pride in giving my patients the best possible care. I find it very rewarding to help people take care of their teeth and I enjoy answering my patients' dental questions."

"The field of dentistry is continually evolving with new dental procedures and materials that produce better and longer lasting results. I have made a personal commitment to continuing education in my practice, and I am passionate about perfecting the latest techniques to provide the best possible care for my patients."

Dr. Skoretz holds many awards and certificates. He has been awarded Fellowship Status in both the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. As a Fellow in the Academy, Dr. Skoretz participates in an ongoing program of professional development and continuing education to remain current in the profession and to provide the best treatment for his dental patients. Academy of General Dentistry members are required to take a minimum of 75 hours of continuing education courses every three years to maintain their membership. In addition, Dr. Skoretz is one of an elite two percent of general dentists that develops treatment plans, and surgically places and restores dental implants. The Pierre Fauchard award was also presented to Dr. Skoretz for his high ethical standards.

The Smile Team also maintains the highest standards. With monthly continued education courses, the staff remains current and informed on all aspects of dentistry. Working as a highly qualified team, each staff member contributes towards the best care for our patients.

Dr. Christopher J. Rodebaugh

Doctor of Dental Science

"As a graduate of WVU School of Dentistry Class of 2008, I was fortunate to be able to experience new materials and techniques that were being developed and introduced first hand day to day.  I realized at this time how important it is to stay informed and educated in new dental developments to better serve and deliver a higher standard of care for my patients."

Dr. Rodebaugh is a native to Nicholas County and graduated from Richwood High School in the class of 2000. He then attended Marshall University where he achieved a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Rodebaugh is a 2008 graduate of the WVU School of Dentistry and is married to Jo Rodebaugh. He enjoys the outdoors in the mountains of West Virginia with camping, hunting and fishing being his favorite hobbies. We are happy to have him as the newest member of the Smile Team and look forward to helping him build his dental practice.

 

Amy Mankins

Registered Dental Hygienist and Gingival Care Specialist

"I do initial examinations of teeth and gums, clean teeth, take x-rays, place dental sealants, and take impressions for tooth whitening procedures. As a Gingival Health Specialist, I teach patients how to take care of their gums. I also perform tooth whitening procedures. I love that I have the ability to help people by making them feel better about themselves and teaching them how to take care of their teeth. I have been practicing in this profession for 15 years and I’ve worked with Dr. Skoretz for the past 9 years. I bring my family to him because he is a perfectionist, and he is by far the best dentist that I have worked with."

Amy grew up in Gauley Bridge and graduated from Gauley Bridge High School. She attended WVU Tech where she earned a Dental Hygiene associate degree.
Amy now lives in Fayetteville with her husband and two daughters.

 

Megan Gilkerson

Registered Dental Hygienist and Gingival Care Specialist

"I clean and polish teeth, assess the health of teeth and gums, and I am certified to administer local anesthetics. I love working with people and I like to see how my work raises self esteem by improving the smiles of my patients and by teaching people how to care for their teeth and gums with good dental hygiene practices. I enjoy working in our friendly and clean office space, and I’m proud to be a part of our knowledgeable staff. Dr. Skoretz is a very skilled dentist and I’d recommend him to anyone for the best dental care."

Megan grew up in Fayetteville and attended Oak Hill High School where she graduated as valedictorian in 2003. She attended WVU Tech in Montgomery where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Megan is married and has a young daughter.

Angie Rollins

Dental Assistant

"As a dental assistant, I work directly with Dr. Skoretz. I have worked at the office of the Smile Doctor since 2005 as both a dental assistant and as the office financial coordinator. I really enjoy my patients. I like to make my them feel comfortable and establish their trust. I believe in Dr. Skoretz’s work and I enjoy helping him help others."

Angie’s training includes: certification in administering nitrous oxide, radiology, and pouring models for dentures. Angie attended the Academy of Careers and Technology and now lives in Kincaid with her two daughters.

 

Angel Williams

Dental Assistant

Angel has been working at the office of the Smile Doctor since 2008. She grew up in Oak Hill where she still resides with her husband and two sons.

 

 

 

Rhonda Toney

Dental Assistant

"I have been a member of the Smile Team since early in 2010, but I have over 15 years of experience as a dental assistant. Having worked at several dental practices in my career, I must say that I really appreciate the quality of the dental care that we offer here at our office."

Rhonda was raised in Oak Hill and still resides there. Her son currently attends WVU and plays the trumpet in the marching band.

 

 

Sara Hambrick

Financial Coordinator

"I am the financial coordinator for our dental office, and I am here to assist you with your payments and insurance claims."

"I started working for Dr. Skoretz in 2010. I really enjoy working with a professional staff, in a beautiful office, and in such a friendly environment. I think that Dr. Skoretz and Dr. Rodebaugh are both excellent dentists and I would recommend them to anyone."

In addition to her duties as the Financial Coordinator, Sara has been trained in sedation dentistry techniques like administering nitrous oxide, and like every staff member on the Smile Team, she is trained in CPR. Sara lives in Ansted with her husband PJ and their three children.

Carla Atha

Scheduling Coordinator

"When you call the office there's a good chance that I will be answering the phone to assist you. As my job title implies, I schedule all of our dental appointments here at the office of the Smile Doctor, and I will be glad to work with you to find a convenient time and date for your next visit. You can also count on me to call the day before your dental appointment with a friendly reminder. I like working with our patients and love the atmosphere here in our beautiful office. I am also very proud to work for Dr. Skoretz. He is a truly amazing dentist and a perfectionist."

Carla has worked for Dr. Skoretz since 2007, and previous to this she was a schoolteacher at Mountain View Academy for 13 years. She and her husband and children are long time Oak Hill residents.
